My Photography Displayed at AF Museum

April 17, 2008 | Announcements, Military Life, Self-Promotion

I just got this note from the National Museum of the United States Air Force:

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will be opening an exhibition of photographs by Air Force, Air Force News and Joint Operations photojournalists on 1 May 08.  We are trying to locate all of the photographers whose work will be featured in this exhibit to send out formal invitations very soon.

Your name matches one on the list as a photographer who will be featured in this exhibit …

Also, I got my invitation in the mail today!  The premiere is May 1.  I won’t be able to make it, but, if you’re in the area and can stop by, do and let me know what photos they used, have a peek at the photo I shot, which is also shown above.  The photo, taken in New Orleans just a few days after Hurricane Katrina, is of an Airmen attending to a woman who would later be medivac’d out!  Thanks Air Force Museum!

Here’s a link to the museum’s Web site: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/ ETA: Also adding a link sent to me by the museum of the full collection of photos, here.

  2. I receive Google blog alerts and saw your entry about the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force’s military photographers exhibit. One of the photos in the exhibit credited to you is located at http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/050906-F-7441T-002.jpg. We hope to have photos of the actual exhibit online after the exhibit opening.

We have also posted many of the photos that are being used at http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/photos/index.asp?galleryID=5882. Be sure to check the museum’s Web site after May 1.

The museum also publishes a blog on the site. If you’re interested in commenting, please do!

    Thanks!
