Mark Morrison reference aside, I’m back on the air. The website has been down since the middle of March. The fusion generators failed, the warp core melted and we had to push the controls to impulse power (translation: it needed a redesign; the other last two years). Plus, I needed to simplify.
The WordPress template is store bought. It still needs a few tweaks and squeezes, but it’s passable for the new look going forward. The feed should be the same and if you don’t subscribe to that, please do. Here’s a link.
Just to recap:
[list style="check"]
- I blog mostly about writing. I do that from the perspective of a military journalist who served 22 years and deployed to war three times. So, I try to provide hints and tips that keep me motivated, writing and on target. I usually offer what I know but will also pass along the best advice I can find. I retired from the military and am now writing fiction. Specifically, I write military and science fiction. However, I’ve written about zombies, romance, some erotica (a LONG time ago) and I also write poetry.
- Also, my blog will sometimes deviate onto events of the day, including sports (I’m an avid Dodgers, Lakers, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Red Wings fan). I avoid politics when I can and try to engage is positive discussions that benefit everyone reading. Sometimes that works. Sometimes, it doesn’t. In any case, I’ll post twice a week, probably on Tuesdays and Thursdays and where warranted.
- I’m a podcaster. I’ve created a podcast called “The Science Fiction Show” with my friend Keith Houin. We talk for about an hour discussing things that interest us in pop culture, especially focusing on science fiction properties as well as the “what ifs” of things. In the episode that will be available at 9 a.m. EST today, we discussed why there is no Han Solo film. It’s a fun show that appears first on The Furnace, where I sometimes blog as well. We also have a Facebook ‘like’ page, where we would appreciate your support.
- I’m keep a Tumblr blog documenting my time living overseas. Specifically, I live in a crushingly beautiful part of the German Alps. So, I shoot a ton of photos, some video and provide text updates on certain items.
- I write a humor column at An Army of Ermas at the end of every month.
- I moderate and post items to reddit.com’s WritersGroup. I try to provide feedback on samples as I see them posted. I’m also a moderator at the Absolute Write forums.
- I have a logo. I LOVE my logo. Thanks to the OUTSTANDING designer who created it.
- Finally, I tweet. The Twitter handle is @jasontudor. Updates are also on the front page of this website.
